In 2002, Mr. Zeng Peiyan, Vice President of PRC, and Mr. Steve Ballmer, Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft, signed MOU on software industry collaboration. According to the content of it, Microsoft Inc. brings out 6.2 billion RMB to support the software industry development of China. Shenzhen is one of five provinces/cities to be selected to setup Microsoft Technology Center based on the collaboration of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and Microsoft. |

The center is located in Cyber-tech Zone of Shenzhen High-tech Industrial Park. It is equipped with advanced facilities and occupies 1500 square meters office area. The center is focusing on the business including e-government, training and software outsourcing. The two-to-five year target is to become a big group with 200 to 500 staff, and focus on e-government, talents training and international software outsourcing. |
